Sebastian CABAN

Sebastian Caban was born in Vienna, Austria, on March 13, 1980.

After attending a technical high school, he started studying electrical
and communication engineering at the Vienna University of Technology
and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA. He received
his master degree in 2005 and his Ph.D. degree in 2009 (with "sub auspiciis").
Sebastian's research focused on developing measurement methodologies
and building testbeds to quantify the actual performance
of wireless cellular communication systems such as UMTS and LTE.

In 2005, Sebastian also started to study economics
at the Vienna University to relax from engineering. He completed
a five year master degree in business administration in 2010.
Currently, Sebastian is working at the ROI Management Consulting GmbH,
focusing on R&D, lean development, production, and logistics.

Sebastian dedicates his free time to sports such as volleyball
and orienteering, hiking, as well as travelling with a backpack
and a tent. He just loves the outdoors.
